I am a CNRS researcher, member of the applied math and computer science department of Grenoble University (LJK, Lab. Jean Kunztmann), head of the team DAO.

My subjects of research are related to mathematical optimization, and I try to keep a balance between theory and practice, believing that both are richer from their interactions. I am involved in some applications of optimization to real-life problems (e.g. electricity production) and to other scientific domains (e.g. machine learning).

SMAI-MODE Conference

Our team organizes the 2018 edition of the French Days on Optimization and Decision Science (Journées SMAI-MODE 2018). This edition will be held, from March 28 to March 30, 2018, in a conference center, in the heart of the Vercors Massif (about one hour from Grenoble). The scientific program is rich with talks and spotlight/posters on optimization, game theory, control, and decision science in general. The social program is quite good too with snow/nature activities, biathlon, special "mountain" diner, "oberwolfach" lunch, cheese/poster session...

Come one day before (Monday 26 March) to attend the short course on "Optimization and learning: applications to computer vision" !
