Title: Visualization techniques for surface analysis (S. Hahmann)
(pdf 757 KB)

Abstract:

Surface interrogation is of central importance for CAD and Computer Graphics applications. Wherever free form surfaces are used, they often need to be analyzed with respect to different aspects like, for example, visual pleasantness, technical smoothness, geometric constraints or surface intrinsic properties. The various methods, which are presented in this paper, can be used to detect surface imperfections, to analyze shapes or to visualize different forms.
